CDA President Natasha McKenzie went to Capitol Hill to interview Congressman Eric Swalwell (CA-15) for our Alumni Spotlight series. Rep. Swalwell is not only one of the youngest Members of the U.S. House of Representatives-- he’s one of its hardest working. Student Aid Bill of Rights

Yesterday, President Obama announced the Student Aid Bill of Rights, aimed at helping students be able to obtain a higher education with minimal struggle and financial stress from loans.

The Student Aid Bill of Rights maintains that every student deserves access to a quality, affordable education at a college that’s cutting costs and increasing learning and should be able to access the resources needed to pay for college. Additionally, every borrower has the right to an affordable repayment plan and the right to quality customer service, reliable information, and fair treatment, even if they struggle to repay their loans.
