THE OFFICIAL COLLEGE OUTREACH ARM OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
Convention 2008!

With the youth vote surging this year, we are expecting a very large attendance at convention. So if you want to go to Denver, start planning now! Here are the details: It begins Friday, August 22nd and lasts until Sunday, August 24th. Everyone is encouraged to stay for the Democratic National Convention that will follow the College Democrats of America Convention. Our registration is not up yet, but we have made this fun video for you to share with your friends so we can make sure there is a strong student voice in Denver: http://www.youtube.com/v/CC6WX_Qc5pU&rel=1

Wow -- Why would you all make the convention the week before the DNC? Why not do it like Boston and have them at the same time.

This is a major slam to the pockets of any college student wanting to be a part of something this major and this historical.

Is the CDA going to provide housing or stipends? You can "encourage" students to attend but it is unrealistic to believe that college students can afford to stay in Denver CO for two weeks without financial support.

You should definitely reconsider these dates and move to CDA to the same dates of the DNC. It's really the most ridiculous thing to have them at different times. If my University has to choose between the CDA and the DNC we'll take our chances with guest passes from our delegation and go with the DNC. Way to disenfranchise the student involvement in the CDA. It's "genius" moves like this that's having more students registering as independents in my state than as democrats.
