Our Mission
The CDA Black Caucus serves as the African American political youth arm of the DNC Black Caucus. We work to equip our members with the tools to affect positive change in their communities in addition to inspiring African American youth to be politically engaged and create a new generation of leaders within the Democratic Party.
The CDA Black Caucus works to promote political awareness among African American college students nationwide. Additionally, our caucus works to foster dialogue among African American college students, the public, and elected officials, on specific issues that affect the African American community. We are a team of dedicated activists that are committed to strengthening the Black Caucus, which was built on the principles of scholastic development, community involvement, social and political activism, and cultural preservation. The goals of the caucus have inspired this year’s theme of “Equipping Tomorrow’s Leaders.”
