Jennifer Bissett
Jennifer Bissett, a life long Virginian, has worked in Democratic politics for ten years. Raised in Yorktown, VA, Jen started volunteering on local campaigns in high school before attending James Madison University. While in college studying Political Science, Jen interned at the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, DC where her love of campaigning blossomed. In 2004, Jen moved to Anchorage, AK to work for the Knowles for Senate Campaign. In 2005 she returned to her home to work on the 2005 Coordinated/ Kaine for Governor Campaign. Since then, Jen has worked for two Virginia Delegates, Mark Sickles and Charniele Herring and spent the 2008 cycle working for Lake Research Partners. Jen has served in various leadership positions in the Democratic Party including serving on the Steering Committee of the Democratic Party of Virginia and two years as the President of the Virginia Young Democrats. Her passion for the Democratic Party and Youth Politics has steered her life since college and she is excited to continue to work with young people as the Executive Director of the College Democrats of America.
