Andy Laub serves as National Membership Director for the College Democrats of America. He previously served as Northeast Regional Director and Secretary of the College Democrats of New York. Andy got his start in politics at the age of 14 working on Senator John Kerry’s Presidential Campaign as well as a local campaign for State Senate, where the democratic candidate only lost by 18 votes. Andy knew from that point on he could longer afford to sit on the sidelines, he volunteered for that same candidate two years later, where that time she won. Working on his home state Senator Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign in the primary in 2008 and later for Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign in the swing state of Pennsylvania, Andy was inspired by President Obama’s election and passage of important legislation like Health Care Reform and ending the war in Iraq to continue working in politics. in 2006 and 2010 Andy worked for one of his hero’s Andrew Cuomo get elected to statewide office first as Attorney General and then as Governor, he later worked in the Governor’s Office handling constituent affairs. In 2009 Andy was appointed to be one the youngest district leaders with his local democratic committee, working on behalf of all democratic candidates up and down the ballot and remains a strong community advocate as well being involved in national politics. Andy is a recent graduate of Fordham University in the Bronx.
